The pumped air injection systems and aspirated air injection systems comprised of the two main secondary air injection systems types. Let us start looking at pumped air injection. This systems use air pump. The engine is what that turns the air pump through the motor. A valve called aspirator valve is put in an air injection pumping that draws clean air into the exhaust. The valve is known to be very sensitive. Short negative forces get into the exhaust when the engine is in idle state. This forces draws air into the exhaust system through the aspirator valve. Most of the modern vehicles such as Toyota use this kind of systems.
